How do I edit my work?

Please review the chart below to see what information you are able to update yourself in The MLC Portal. Some items of information require processing by our internal team before they can be updated - for these items, please submit your request here.

To edit your work:

  1. Once you're logged into your Member account in The MLC Portal, locate the work you need to edit in your catalog and click on the work.
  2. On the next page, click the blue Edit button in the right-hand corner of your screen. When a pop-up message prompts you to confirm you want to edit, select the Edit button.
  3. Click the white Edit button in the section you need to update.
  4. You will be taken to the page to edit that section’s information. Update necessary information, then click the blue Next button at the bottom of the page.
  5. You will be returned to the Work Details page. Here, you can choose to edit another section if needed.
  6. Once all your updates are complete, click the blue Submit button at the bottom of the page. When a pop-up message prompts you to confirm you would like to submit these edits, click Confirm.
  7. On the next page, click the blue Done button to be taken to your Registration History page – here you can see the work you submitted with updates has a status of Submitted. You can return to the Registration History page to keep track of the progress of your edited work – once the work is in the Accepted status, it will show in your catalog with the updated information.

NOTE: Once the edits to your work have been accepted, the original work submission will still show in your Registration History; however, its status will now show as Superseded as the edited work has replaced the original work submission.
