New Member Checklist: Adding a User

What if you want to add a manager or assistant to your Member account so they can help you register works or review your royalty statement?

Adding a User

A Super User can manage users by clicking View Member on the home page of The MLC Portal, then selecting User Permissions on the left-hand side.

Once on the User Permissions page, you will be able to view all users who have access to the Member account.

On the top right-hand side, click the Add User button. A form will appear, and you will need to enter the name and email address of the individual you would like to add as a user. You will also need to select which user permission(s) you would like to grant them.

User Permission Options

  • A Super User is an individual with access to finance and copyright information. A Super User is authorized to grant access to other users.
  • A Finance User is an individual with access to financial information for a Member account, including the ability to view and update bank, tax, and statement information.
  • A Copyright User is an individual with access to copyright information, including the ability to review and revise works in a Member's catalog.
